一、learn 動詞。意思是學習、學會、學到。側重學習的成果。指通過學習和練習或從經驗中去獲得知識和技巧，多用于學習的初級階段。若是向某人學習要用learn from。learn和study有時可以換用。例如：

He is learning how to drive. 他在學開車。

We must learn how to operate the machine. 我們必須學會開機器。

It was only last winter that I learned to skate.就是在去年冬天我學會了滑冰。

Chairman Mao asked us to learn from Comrade Lei Feng in 1963. 毛主席在一九六三年號召我們向雷鋒同志學習。

二、study 動詞。意思是學習、研究。側重學習的過程。例如：

She studied chemistry for three years. 她學習了三年的化學。

Study hard and youll learn the language well.用功學習，你就會學好這門語言。

I will study the matter and give you my opinion.我要研究一下這事，然后再把我的建議給你。
